Current Prospects of Bioinformatics Research

Bioinformatics, only one decade old is a new scientific interdisciplinary area of research. Human genome project is origin of bioinformatics but flooding of biological data provided new dimensions of research i.e. Data management. Searching, Retrieval, Algorithm and Tool development and Data analysis. Now, Bioinformatics is an integral part of many disciples of life science and computer science and researches are continuously exploring the applied aspect of bioinformatics. In the present paper, an introduction and overview of the current state of the bioinformatics is presented.
