After separately discussing the inherent capabilities and qualities of brain and heart, the features of development individually are elaborated starting from physical picture to some basics of spirituality as is essential for meaningful life. Life is possible for him who has brain, but with only brains dies of dryness. One who is carried along by his heart alone has to undergo many ills, and is liable to tumble into pitfalls. Eastern scriptures stress the need for acquirement of both brain-based and heart-based knowledge for full-fledged development of human being. Starting from known physical pictures, described in laymen's term using philosophical ideas from renowned scientist-philosophers and ancient philosophers it is argued that ultimate success in life is determined by their balance, even though brain works under causality while heart's activity is acausal in nature. Heart is the seat of spiritual knowledge, and by acquiring some of the basic spiritual qualities like morality, restricting one's worldly passions, practice of pranayam one can improve quality of life.

Our brain and heart are two important body organs for storage of knowledge that determine our life-style.
