The Objective Conception of Knowledge

According to the traditional philosophers, a proposition claimed to be known, must be true for ever. This foundationalistic static conception of knowledge does not account for dynamic feature of scientific knowledge. Contra foundationalist and realist conception of knowledge Popper argues that nothing can be certain; every thing is liable to falsification. But truth serves as regulative idea! in Popper's philosophy. The pessimistic tenet of Popper that truth can never be attained welcomes a band of relativist philosophers according to whom there is no unique description of the world. Every observational datum is theory loaded. But this total relativism and irrationalism cannot be maintained. Here author tried to show that some compulsiveness of observation against which theries are assessed, has to be admitted, otherise science would loose the ideal of objectivity for which science gets time bound admiration.
