From the Editor's Desk

The first Associate Membership Examination of the Indian Institute of Welding was successfully held in January, 1988 as per schedule and the second examination is expected to be held during June/July, 1988. The examination system has already become a very important ongoing activity of our institute and it is heartening to note the generation of an all-round enthusiasm which has been reflected by the increase in the students membership and the substantial increase in the enrolment for the examination.
