At the outset, on behalf of the Central Council, I am pleased to inform you that the Kolkata Branch of the Institute is organizing a very prestigious event - National Welding Seminar 2009-10 at Park Hotel, 17, Park Street, Kolkata from 10th to 12th December ‘09. Just preceeding this, the Technical Committee of Kolkata Branch is organizing a two day tutorial course on the topic "Welding Metallurgy, Technology and Quality Assurance (WMTQA-2009)” during 8-9th December, 2009 at Jadavpur University, Kolkata.
