In earth moving industry 80% of the structures are fabricated by semi-automatic welding.

GMAW (MAG) with CO2 gas as a shielding gas is the cheapest welding process either for Automatic welding or for Manual welding (Semi-automatic). Higher welding speed, better joint penetration and lower costs have led to the extensive use of CO2.
