At the outset, let me thank you all for electing me as the Secretary General of this premier Institute and hope, I will be able to accede to the standards and professionalism maintained by my predecessors. Especially, I would like to mention the name of Mr. Parimal Biswas, whose contribution towards the Institute will never be forgotten. I am lucky enough that he has been elected as the President of our Institute and therefore will get his guidance in my journey.
