Case Study on Tetanus

Mr. Rajesh Bhai Bhariya a 20year old man, whose occupation was building constructor labor, came to hospital on 19th September 2016 and his IPD No: 1610190125, diagnosis as Tetanus he belongs to Dahod district, Gujarat. Came to the hospital with C/O Body ache, Rigidity of generalized body since 5 days and difficulty in opening of mouth since one week. In nursing assessment found that: Tachycardia, Altered conscious, Disoriented, Hypertonic and Febrile. Nursing care provided as per need of the patient such as maintained personal hygiene, Provided regular oral care, Provided back care once in every four day, Sponge bath whenever required, Nasogastric feeding, Maintain I/o chart, IV fluids , Psychologically supported to patient family and regular Tracheotomy care done. As per consultants prescription medications administered such as Antibiotic cefaperazone+salbactum 3gm administered. Later patient recovered well and prognosis was good.
