A Comparative Analysis of Equity Schemes of HDFC Mutual Fund with BSE National Index

This study aims to evaluate and compare the performance of open-ended equity schemes of HDFC Mutual Fund and BSE National Index. To examine the performance, a sample of six schemes with growth option of HDFC Mutual Fund have been selected on the basis of monthly returns and compared to benchmark (BSE National 100 Index) returns for the period from January 2007 to December 2015 (nine years) of transition economy.
