Volume 83 No.2 (April-June, 2013 issue) of the Journal of the Association of Engineers, India has reached members and subscribers somewhat late due to an unavoidable situation with the printer getting seriously injured through a road accident. After few months of medical treatment and surgery, he could resume his work and finally completed the task of this journal printing work. Hope this time lag will be made up in course of time. The current issue of the journal is a combined 3&4 (July-December) issue of Vol.83 of 2013.

In line with previous issues, in this issue also, the column of the President of the Association, Prof. Dr. Madhusudan Bhattacharyya contains outline of a number of industrial problem-solving activities along with his opinion on some of the current affairs. Papers published in this issue are related to electronics and communication engineering, mechanical engineering and manufacturing engineering.
