Safety in Construction has remained as subject of debate the world over for nearly a century. The risk involved in building and construction activities can be clearly visualised from the accidents statistics in most of the industrialised countries where the average is 16 fatal accidents per 1,00,000. In Asian countries the rate is 129 per 1,00,000.
