Engineers and Industry

It is said that material prosperity of a country or wealth of the nation is produced by the engineers. But Engineers by themselves are part of the Industry. In the management cadre, the top executive for manufacture, repair, maintenance, power generation, oil extraction, is often an Engineer. It may be that business policy is dictated by non engineers, and production programme is controlled by engineers, and a thriving industry must give its due to the engineering effort behind the success.
