Automatic Metal Arc Welding

Metal-Arc Welding has made remarkable progress, after its first application about half a century ago. The Second World War was the proving ground for the welding and fabrication industry. In the post-war years, the production of fabricated steel tonnage has been rapidly increasing, especially in U.S.A., U.S.S.R., Continent and Japan. Table 1, gives an average Steel and Electrode production in different countries of the world.
