Uranium as a Fuel
Subscribe/Renew Journal
Natural Uranium is being used in many reactors as a Fuel
It consists substantially of one part by weight of U235 and 140 parts by weight of U238. In nuclear reactions involving natural uranium and slow neutrons it is the U235 atoms that are usually split. When a U235 atom is split after absorbing a neutron the nuclear equation will be something like the following with its mass equation.
