"Concrete on the Railways"

This pictorial brochure gives some idea of the many uses to which concrete has been put to by Indian Railways. A few examples of outstanding constructions carried out in concrete by some of the European and American  Railways are also given. The various fields of railway construction, illustrated in the brochure include: precast products used in out-of-the-way locations, service buildings, staff quarters, loco-sheds, workshops, turntable, bridges, culverts, tunnels, sleepers, precast retaining walls and embankment stabilisation.
