Visit to Tata Iron & Steel Works

Members of the Association of Engineers were granted privilege, of a visit to the Tata Iron & Steel Works during the month of March 1948 this year and accordingly 22 members from Calcutta visited the works on the 25th and 26th. The party left Howrah by the Nagpur Passenger train at 8-30 p.m. on the 23rd, The train arrived Tatanagore at 4-30 a.m. next morning and the carriages reserved for the members of the party were detached at Tatanagore at 6-30 a.m. The party left station in a bus which was specially reserved for the party beforehand by Sri B. C. Ghose, B.L., Legal Adviser to the Tata Iron and Steel Works, to whom our thanks are due for this and also for accommodating all the members in his house and supplying Tea, Lunch and Dinner in a very splendid manner. Without his help in this matter, the visit would have been very difficult to arrange.
