Rusting of Rods in Reinforced Slabs and its Remedy

Experience has shown that in moist climates like Bengal and similar other places the reinforcing steel rods in many roof slabs of reinforced concrete and reinforced brickwork, not constructed with proper care and proper precautions, had been found to be rusted very badly, so much so that some of these slabs had to be dismantled and rebuilt.
