Economical Working of Railways:Some Reflections

The bulk of the earnings of any Railway system comes from the transport of goods and parcels and third class passengers. To increase the revenue, therefore, the most important thing to be done is to satisfy the merchant class and the lower class passengers with a view to retaining a gradually enhancing custom from these classes.
