Royal Indian Navy:Launching Ceremony of Another Ship

Still another ship was added to the fast expanding Royal Indian Navy when Lady Bewoor, wife of Sir Gurunath Bewoor, Secretary, Defence Department, Government of India, performed the launching ceremony of H.M.I.S. Poona from a shipyard on an Indian river on April the 2nd. Before performing the ceremony Lady Bewoor, accompanied by Captain Beggs, Director of Shipbuilding and other officials made an inspection of the hull of the ship and expressed her admiration of its build and construction.
