How tea rate proceeds are to be spent

Important rules for the administration and utilization of the proceeds from the additional tea rates have been framed by the Government of Assam. According to the rules the proceeds of the additional rate have already been credited to provincial revenues, and shall be available for expenditure on the construction or improvement of road communications, and also for the maintenance of such roads where necessary, in any of the districts from which the additional rate is levied.
