Some Thoughts to Improve Economics of Rural Electrification

Rural Electrification has mainly two objectives:One to improve economic status of rural folk by increasing the productivity of human and animal labour and the other to promote rural welfare by providing an environment equal in ease and comfort to that being enjoyed by the urban population. Rural electrification may, therefore, be regarded as an effective means to prevent exodus of the rural population to urban areas where higher wages and greater amenities of life exist.
