Form milling cutters with improved design incorporating the principle of free cutting find their useful applications manufacturing spur and helical gears, rack piece production, rough cutting operation of big level gears in mass production and in repair jobs.
It is therefore, the matter of industrial importance to carry out experiments with the above mentioned cutters so as to deduce a cutting speed formula.
