A Possible Connection between Catecholamine Induced Changes in Metabolism and the Influence of Bioflavonoids upon Oxidative State
Subscribe/Renew Journal
It is uncertain, whether "oxidative stress", linked with a changed oxidative state and brought about by increased free radicals includes a change in stress hormones like catecholamines. If so, then oxidative stress should go along with the ususal catecholamine induced changes in metabolic parameters like lactate, blood gases or electrolyte changes (Ca, Mg) a.s.o. Vice versa, a powerful antioxidant should perhaps also take effect upon changes in the parameters mentioned above. If so, some links may be established between catecholamines-oxidative phosphorylation - metabolic changes, free radicals and antioxydative substances.
