An excursion to Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary, Tamil Nadu from September 26, 2005 to September 29, 2005, accompanied by our teachers Dr. Krishna Basu and Dr. Anuradha Chowduri of the Department of Zoology has proved to be a very interesting, exciting and informative excursion as it enriched us with the various kinds of macro- and microhabitats in forests and grasslands of the sanctuary. It has provided us an opportunity to gather a preliminary idea of the biodiversity and endemicity in the Western Ghats.
