A Note on Medicinal uses of Ashwagandha in Ayurveda

Withania somnifera, commonly known ‘Ashwagandha’, is an indigenous herb containing diverse therapeutic properties. The herb is widely used in Ayurvedic medicine. The herb is a potential anti-oxidant, useful for combating a number of human diseases. The utility of the herb is presented in this communication.
