Morphology and life history of a probable new septate gregarine, Leidyana sp. (Apicomplexa : Conoidacea) occurring in lepidopteran insect larvae Lecithocera sp. from Sundarban region of West Bengal, India have been described. Morphological characters of this gregarine is compared with those of its closely related species.
