On 2-Webs of Curves in Rn

It has been shown that every 2-web of curves in the affine space R3 can be associated by means of projection to a differential equation of the second order y" = f(x,y, y'). The object of this note is to show that certain 2-webs of curves in the affine space Rn can also be associated by means of projection to a differential equation of the (n-1) th order y(n-1) = f( x, y, y', ...,y(n-2)).
