Note on the Addition Theorem of Parabolic Cylinder Functions

In a recent paper, Mr. Hari Shanker has given an addition theorem which can be obtained as a sort of generalization of the result obtained by me in my paper in the Jour. London Math. Soc. 10, (1935), 171-75. In this short note I shall show how to obtain it.
