This work, which is the fruit of the combined labours of Messrs.. Laisant, Tarry and Arnoux, is perfectly original. The learned authors have endeavoured to lay, so to say, the foundations of a new kind of Geometry which blends together the resources of Arithmetic, Algebra and Geometry, and which bids fair to add important results to the field of science.
