India and Globalisation:Some Reflections on India's Trade Links With G-7

The government of India adopted the New Economic Policy (NEP), 1991, that stood on the principle of liberal import-led industrialisation. This paper concentrates on the post-NEP half-a-decade in the context of the 1980s to examine the nature of integration of India's economy in G-7.
