In this era of information, explosion of people's skills are more in demand and the most requirements of the hour. If we succeed in integrating these skills then our Technical students will be able to achieve excellence in their performance. Communication skills are vital and considered as salient elements of Global success. Technical students require fluency not only in spoken language but also in written and reading form. Globalisation influences the industries and companies' need and as an engineer a learner must develop the common skills, and through learning it is possible. Common skills include Oral Communication, Reading texts for specific purpose and professional writings. Reading skills emphasize more on the learner's knowledge in vocabulary development, understanding of specific texts with specific context and their own understanding of authentic problems based on real world. It also helps them in paraphrasing text, explaining concepts, memorizing information and analysing and evaluating ethical dilemmas. Reading skills also enhance a learner's innovative quality which keeps him up to date to face the challenges of tomorrow.
