Institutional Repositories of Library and Information Science at Global Level:A Study

The main purpose of the study to know and enumerate the Institutional Repositories in the subject Library and Information Science and to analyze the 81 IRs based on selected study criteria. The data has been collected for the study from OpenDOAR and institutions' website till March 30th 2018. All IR related with LIS at global level were taken for the study. This research follows the descriptive method which includes investigating by browsing selected institutions websites. Going through the entire research it will become easier for a repository manager to understand pros and cons of an Institutional Repository. This study will be useful and handy source to know what are the IR available in LIS domain. It will create the awareness among the LIS professionals as well as students and research scholars.
