Among various micro-finance models, SHG model is identified as one of the most successful models for providing access to credit for the poor. This case study presents one such model and discusses its design and implementation of intervention. Further, it also took a sample of 50 participants from the organisation and evaluated the effect of intervention on promotion of micro-enterprise. The results showed that this approach has been successful in establishment of microenterprise but due to limitation on loan amount from bank, it failed in helping micro-entrepreneurs in expansion of their business.
