Reversal of Signs of Circular Dichroism of Heparin pseudoisocyanine System by Excess of the Polymer
Subscribe/Renew Journal
The anionic polysaccharide binds the cationic dye N, N'-diethylpseudoisocyanine to induce red shifted J-band of the dye. Chirality in the bound aggregated dye is induced by heparin and the system exhibits circular dichroism in the visible range reminescent of the absorption spectra. Signs of the dichroic bands are reversed at high polymer to dye ratio.
