Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate Magnesium Salts: a Contribution to Mildness and Performance

A number of properties such as surface tension, critical micelle concentration, specific condlictivity, viscosity, solubility, biodegradability, toxicity and water hardness stability of linear alkylbenzene sulfonate magnesium salts have been measured and compared to those sodium salts. Other tests like Zein, wetting, laundry detergency performance or dishwashing tests have been conducted as well.

Some specific abilities of magnesium salts have been confirmed or established, giving way to new, potential applications in the detergent and cosmetic field.
