Interaction of cationic surfactant, CPB and anionic surfactant, SDBS with methyl orange and four triphenylmethane dyes, BPB, CBB, CR and TB has been studied spectrophotometrically. Results have been discussed in terms of mode of interaction of surfactants with dyes and the association constants involved. Association constants were of the order of 105, consistent with non-covalent interactions.
