Employees Perception on Existing Performance Appraisal System in BHEL and Measuring its Effectiveness
Performance Appraisal has been considered as the most significant and indispensable tool for an organisation, as the information it provides is highly useful in making decisions regarding various personnel aspects such as promotion and merit increments. Performance measures also link information gathering and decision making processes which provide a basis for judging the effectiveness of personnel sub-divisions such as recruiting, selection, training and compensation. The major objective of this study is to examine the existing Performance Appraisal System being followed at BHEL, Bhopal and to know the perception of its employees about its effectiveness.
