Calibration of Gamma-Radiation Monitoring Instruments

Radiation Monitoring Instruments are increasingly used in research and for routine monitoring in hospitals, industries, research institutes, nuclear power plants etc. The calibration of these instruments is necessary to provide confidence and traceability of measurements and to ascertain healthy operating condition of these instruments for their intended use. This paper describes the requirement of requisite infrastructure/equipment and the procedure for calibration of these monitors.
