Because of the cost factor, fragile nature, low susceptibility to vibration of Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometers (SPRTs), Industrial Platinum resistance Thermometers (IPRTs) are developed, which are rugged in design and still give the adequate accurate measurement for the industrial temperature range-200 to 660 °C. This paper discuss about the methodology adopted for batch calibration of IPRTs using slim fixed point cells and optimization of calibration through put without affecting the quality.
