A As part of control and automation Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control schemes have been widely used in most of the control engineering applications including the field of mechanical engineering. A mechanical system’s transfer function is considered in the paper for which a controller is designed using non-traditional optimization technique. The stability and performance of this mechanical system is greatly governed by the controller settings.

Abstract

A As part of control and automation Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control schemes have been widely used in most of the control engineering applications including the field of mechanical engineering. A mechanical system’s transfer function is considered in the paper for which a controller is designed using non-traditional optimization technique. The stability and performance of this mechanical system is greatly governed by the controller settings.
