Machinability Evaluation of Work Materials Using Graph Theory and Analytic Hierarchy Process Methods

This paper presents a logical procedure to evaluate machinability of work materials for a given machining operation. The procedure is based on graph theory and on an analytic hierarchy process method. The proposed machinability index helps to evaluate and rank the work materials for a given machining operation. Two examples are Included to Illustrate the approach.
