The manpower is the main means to study the organizational health, since it is connected with all organs of an organisation. Absenteeism is one of the important indicators of organizational health. It creates various problems and has a number of direct and indirect effects on production, costs, discipline and efficiency. Left unchecked, high absenteeism usually develops into very serious business problems including morale issues, high costs and high turnover. Research in this field can be of much Practical utility to employers, management, workers and the government. The small-scale employers can use this information for policy making and control of absenteeism, so as to have the best utilization of human resources.
