Innovation-Driven Environmentally-Benign Manufacturing: A Case Study
Modern organizations should consider environmentally-benign manufacturing as an innovation opportunity and in order to accomplish that, a handy model, based on industrial situation is required. In the present paper, an attempt has been made, to formulate a simple innovation-driven environmentally-benign manufacturing model, which is capable of performing comprehensive assessment of the sustainability status of the manufacturing organizations. It is based on the case study of the innovation-driven industrial pollution control equipment used by steel industries. It is expected that the model will be of immense importance, as it will enable the manufacturing organizations to post-mortem their past performance and plan their future operations with an emphasis on the innovative environmentally-benign practices effectively.
