The way science and technology has leaped forward in the recent past is indeed an astonishing feature of the modern era. The magic wand of technology has enabled man to roam around the world, to peep through every nook and corner of the universe. The essence of the advancement of science and technology is the thirst for knowledge. We wonder agape at the fast changing environment around us. Sometimes we are baffled by the changes; we cannot decide whether those are good or bad, or whether those are beneficial at all to the human civilization.- Homi Jehangir Bhabha (1909-1966)

When Bhabha died an untimely death in an airplane crash in 1966, 'Who, after him?" became a big question. Who could replace such a great physicist? Soon every one's answer was: "Vikram Ambalal Sarabhai." Thus, in 1966, Vikram Sarabhai succeeded Dr. Bhabha as the Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission. Hydrogen is the new buzz word as oil companies and car makers back the view that it will be the successor to oil in the coming decades. Experimental fleets of hydrogen cars have been operating in California since last year. In hydrogen vehicles, an electric motor powers the wheels. There are a few pair of numbers that have a very peculiar affinity for each other and are so-called "amicable numbers." Take for instance the pair of numbers 220 and 284. It turns out that all the factors of 220 that is those less than itself add up to 284. And, surprisingly, the factors of 284 add upto 220.- Contribution of Kalyani Govt.
