Combined Effects of Heat Radiation and Rotation on Free Convective Flow on Vertically Upwards Heated Plate with Gravity Modulation in Slip Flow Region
Subscribe/Renew Journal
Unsteady free convective flow of a viscous incompressible fluid in a porous medium past an infinite vertical rotating porous plate with gravity modulation is considered. Expressions for velocity, temperature and concentration profiles are obtained. Also the expressions for the skin-friction coefficient, rate of heat transfer and Sherwood number are derived. The effects of Prandtl number (Pr), Grashof number (Gr), modified Grashof number (Gc), frequency of oscillation (ω), Rotation parameter (E), gravity modulation parameter(α), Heat radiation (Rp) and Permeability parameter (k0) are studied through graphs. It is found that primary fluid velocity decreases with increase of rotation parameter whereas secondary fluid velocity is increased. It has been noticed that with increase of gravity modulation parameter primary velocity increases. With increase of radiation parameter the temperature decreases. Concentration decreases with increase of Chemical reaction parameter.
