Malaria is protozoan disease transmitted by the bite of female Anopheles mosquitoes. It is the most important of the parasitic disease of human beings affecting approximately 200 million and causes over one million deaths each year around the globe. (W.H.O., 2006). Malaria has been a problem in India for centuries. Details of this disease can be found even in the ancient Indian medical literature like Charaka Sahinta. Bastar geographic position and climatic conditions had been for long favorable to the transmission of Malaria i.e. season, temperature, humidity and rainfall.
