Ultrasonic studies and excess properties of binary liquid mixtures of ethyl acetate with 1-alkanols at 303.15 K and 3 MHz
Ultrasonic velocity (v), density (ρ) and viscosity (η) of binary liquid mixtures of ethyl acetate and 1-alkanols has been measured using ultrasonic interferometer, 30 ml gravity bottle, pycnometer and ubblehode viscometer respectively at frequency 3 MHz and constant temperature 303.15 K. The ultrasonic related like parameters sound velocity (v), density (ρ) and viscosity (η) and computed values of deviation in viscosity (Δη), molar volume (V), excess molar volume (VE), adiabatic compressibility (βad), deviation in adiabatic compressibility (Δβad), intermolecular free length (Lf), excess intermolecular free length (Lf E), acoustic impedance (Z), excess acoustic impedance (ZE), Rao's Constant (R), Wada constant (W), viscous relaxation time (t) and relaxation strength (r), were determined. Graphs are plotted of each parameter against mole fraction (x1). The obtained result support the occurrence of molecular association through hydrogen bonding in the binary liquid mixtures.
