A Study of Stress among the Employees in NEEPCO Limited

Stress is any stimulus from the environment which demands some extra adjustment efforts or survival effort from the body. It is the condition arising from the interaction of the people and their jobs and is characterized by changes within people that force them to deviate from their normal functioning. The present study was conducted in NEEPCO Limited, Shillong with an attempt to understand the stress level of employees. It was found that the professional life of employees is affected by the events that happen in their personal life. Too much of stress also affects the physical and mental wellbeing of the employees.
