Correlation and path analysis were carried out in order to quantify the contribution of explanatory characters towards yield for off-season bottle gourd cultivation. The characters like number of fruits per plant, average number of seed per fruit, average fruit weight, vine length and days to first male flower anthesis, number of fruit per plant, average fruit weight and days to first male flower anthesis had the highest positive direct effect on fruit yield per plant.
