A Study of Nutrition and Well-Being of Adult Men and Women

Total nutrition included daily diet of calcium, minerals, proteins, fibres. They all are required by the elderly people in order to prevent any disease or psychological problems. This study provides the research conducted on adult men and women. This investigates the difference between nutritional status and well being of adult men and women. A sample of 60 people (age 55 yrs and above) were selected for the study. 30 men and 30 women were administered mini nutritional assessment questionnaire and Ryff scales of psychological well being. It was found that the nutritional status of men is significantly higher than the nutritional status of women. Well- being of men is higher than the well-being of women. There is positive and significant correlation between nutrition and well being for men. There is low positive correlation between nutrition and wellbeing for women.
